We have Bats!

 

Here's Joe pointing to our new bat houses. Thanks to Reggie, Dwayne, and Jeffrey of the Hahnville Fire Department, our cabin and the trees nearby have 5 bat houses. The plan is that the bats residing in the eave of our cabin--20 at last count, will prefer the new accommodations to the eave. Since we are now in Montana, we're not sure if the houses have been used yet. Once the bats are in the houses, the plan is to stuff steel wool into the eave. I will have to let you know if this plan works in an update.
