The Guadalupe Mountains National Park is located in West Texas, about 40 miles southwest of Carlsbad Caverns. The mountains are part of one of an ancient fossil reef which formed over 260-270 million years ago and now towers over the desert below. By far this is not the most beautiful national park that I have visited, but is was awesome sleeping under a star-lit sky in our motor home for $4.00 a night.
