Baking Cookies

First you need a large bowl.
It should be empty and clean
Add soft butter and sugar
and mix with a mixing machine.

Measure out a teaspoon of vanilla.
Add the eggs one by one.
We’re half way through now.
Our dough is almost done!

The dry stuff comes next.
Don’t add it all at once.
Because it will fly all over,
and you’ll feel like a dunce.

Once your dough is mixed,
it will need some time to chill.
Put it in the refrigerator
and clean up all your spills.

Wait at least an hour,
then roll the dough out flat.
Using the cookie cutters,
cut out a pumpkin or a cat.

Put the cookies in the oven
on a greased baking pan.
While the cookies are baking,
lick the beaters as best you can

Finally comes the icing.
The best part comes last.
It’s fun decorating cookies.
Making cookies is such a blast!
