Painted Desert/ Petrified Forest National Park

This national park consists of two sections. The southern part of the park is famous for its large concentration of petrified wood. The northern section is home to colorful banded badlands of the Painted Desert. Great fossilized logs can be found throughout. The colors of the Painted Desert change with the weather and the time of day.
