Arches National Park

Arches National Park, located in Utah, preserves over 2,000 natural sandstone arches along with balanced rocks and pinnacles. Most of the formations in the park are made of soft red sandstone deposited 150 million years ago. The arches were once vertical rocks called "fins". Through the passage of time, sections of these fins wore away forming the arches.

My visit to the Arches began with a mile walk through the canyons below. Joe and Alice stayed back and picked up David, Mel, Ruth, and I at the other end. The views were breathtaking, and at each turn they appeared to be more beautiful.

I felt bad that Joe didn't get to make it, but as we were hiking, he sat outside with Chloe and Buster. When Chloe ran under the motor home, Joe had to get under the motor home to get her out. That was when Joe discovered that he could tow the jeep after all. So, it turned out that Joe was very happy to stay back

Enjoy the rest of our photographs.
