A chilly November morning
and we're off for our daily walk.
With Buster leading the way
Joe and I begin to talk.
The sun hides behind a cloud.
A chill is in the air.
Joe and I continue to walk
along without a care.
We see a cardinal up in a tree.
It chirps merrily as we pass by.
Next we see a mockingbird
flying up so high.
We walk to the end of the trail
and then we cross the street.
Before we head the other way
Joe passes out the treats.
This is how we start our day.
Retirement is hard to beat.
We love living in Mandeville.
It really is a treat!
