It’s a fall day in Mandeville
Just feel the chill in the air
The trees are swaying in the breeze
And the leaves fall here and there.
Down in south Louisiana
There are no hues of yellow and red
Our leaves rarely change colors
But go from green to brown instead.
Suddenly I miss Burnsville
It must be beautiful there
The cascade of colors is breathtaking
From my front porch, rocking chair.
